Delta State Chapter of Association of Reformed Progressive Politicians (ARPP) will, on Tuesday, 17 October, 2017, hold its 1000-man march which was earlier postponed for reasons bordering on security.
The 1000 man-match which is geared towards celebrating Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as the best governor in Nigeria for his efforts in promoting fiscal prudence and effective use of public funds is tagged ‘No Vacancy in Government Come 2019.’
Briefing newsmen after a closed door meeting by members of the state executive at the instance of the ARPP State Chairman, Pastor Comrade David Ashikodi, ARPP, Publicity Secretary, Comrade Iteveh Ekpokpobe, disclosed that the march which is designed in celebration of the success of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa’s government could not hold due to security reasons.
According to the ARPP mouthpiece, members and executive of the ARPP across the three senatorial zones and 25 local government areas of Delta state were ready to celebrate the sterling qualities and results of the government.
He said that despite the trying economic times, the state governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa holds sway in dispensing the dividends of democracy to the people.
“The facts are glaring even to the blind, the development strides of the Senator Ifeanyi Okowa’s government. There is no local government in Delta state that cannot boast of a road or a touch of one project or the other. Suffice it that the roads are very viable to the economic build of those communities.
“Beyond the road development story, Okowa’s drive to eradicate unemployment in Delta State is even more sterling through his youth entrepreneurship programmes, and there is more.” Iteveh added.
Iteveh enjoined all well-meaning Deltans and supporters of the Senator Ifeanyi Okowa government to come out en masse to join the ARPP under the leadership of Pastor David Ashikodi to celebrate the achievements of the government.
