Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Chief Sunny Onuesoke has given reasons why Urhobos resident at home and diapora will endorse Hon. Evelyn Oboro, members representing Sapele, Okpe, and Uvwie constituency in the House of Representatives.
Oboro, who is serving her second term in the House of Representative has declared her intention to contest for the position of senate in Delta Central Senatorial District.
Onuesoke who stated this on Friday when group of women under the aegis of Association of Urhobo Women Leaders, AUWL, paid him a courtesy visit at his office in Warri, called on the people of Delta central senatorial district to support the senatorial ambition of Evelyn Oboro; adding that well meaning Deltans will continue to support the Urhobo agenda.
He stated that Oboro is qualified and experienced enough to represent the Delta Central at the red chamber.
He maintained that Evelyn Oboro was endorsed because she had distinguished herself as a very vibrant, strong and consistent leader in Urhoboland and for being on the forefront of projecting the Urhobo agenda in the House of Representatives, citing the FUPRE Bill as a good example.
In her constituency, she had touched the lives of many people by taking them from beggars to creation of wealth and employment of labour. She had empowered members of her constituency with no fewer than forty cars, three hundred tricycles, grinding machines, sewing machines, generators and barbing kits.
“Others are hair dressing kits, motor-saws, freezers, free medical care, building and furnishing of health centres and classroom blocks, street light projects, roads, provision of transformers and among others,” Onuesoke disclosed, stressing that such great achievements, Oboro deserve promotion through election as Delta Central senator come 2019.
