Again, Onuesoke blasts APC, says Oshiomhole, Buhari running party with conflicting directives

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Chief Sunny Onuesoke, has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of being a lawless party.

Onuesoke, who made the allegation at Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) Ikeja, Lagos during a chat with airport correspondents while returning from overseas trip after attending an environmental programme, described APC as a lawless party that is at war with itself, the people and   has refused to obey court orders.

He said while other parties have conducted peaceful primaries, APC primaries from wards, Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives and Senate were bedeviled with one crisis or the other.

“As I am talking with you right now, the party is still struggling with internal crisis that emanated from the primaries when election is two months away from here.

“Such party that cannot put its house is order is not fit to rule the people,” Onuesoke stated, while respond to questions from MMIA Aviation correspondents.

“Just imagine where President Buhari and the chairman of APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, were at variance in ditching out orders.

“While the party is asking aggrieved members to withdraw their cases from the court, the president is asking them to seek redress in court. This is to tell you how confused the party is,” he stated

He accused the ruling party of not obeying court orders, stressing that although former national security adviser, Sambo Dasuki, has been granted bail on at least six different occasions by various courts, the Nigerian government has persistently refused to comply with the court orders.

Onuesoke maintained that the most absurd of violation of human rights by the APC administration is its treatment of Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, a leader of a Shiite group who has been in detention without any trial for the last two years.

He said the freezing of the account of suspected looters by the ruling APC government is another act of lawlessness by the party, wondering why account of someone who has not been found guilty by the court should be frozen.

Onuesoke charged Nigerians, irrespective of creed, class or sectional persuasion, to be at alert and vote in PDP that is truly desirous of national unity, respect for rule of law and development of the Nigerian state in the 2019 general elections.

“PDP is a party that respect rule of law. Nigerians have tested APC and discovered that they have been caged. They should vote in PDP in 2019 so as to get back their freedom. A vote for APC is a vote for another four years of imprisonment,” he disclosed.
