As the Nigeria’s inspector general of police, Ibrahim Idris, continues to receive bashing from Nigerians, Reno Omokri, former new media aide to erstwhile President Goodluck Jonathan, has said that the inability of the IGP to read and understand English was what made him to shun invitation extended to him by the senate.
The video showing the Nigeria’s police boss stammering while reading a prepared speech in Kano on Monday has continued to generate wild reactions across country and in the Diaspora.
Reno Omokri who is one of the hard core critics of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, said it has become obvious that IGP’s reasons for failing to honour the senate invitation was because of his inability to read and understand English language.

“Now we know the real reason why the Inspector General of Police failed to honour the Nigerian Senate’s summons. The poor man didn’t want to expose his inability to read and understand the English language.
“We have a President who preferred to hire 13 SANs rather than just provide his WAEC Certificate, an EFCC Chairman who wears a Muhammadu Buhari lapel pin, a minister of finance who can’t perform elementary mathematics and now an IGP who can’t read a speech in simple English. How did we get here?”
