As the Delta state Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) campaign organization, concludes its statewide campaign rally across the 25 LGAs for the forthcoming general election, the Delta North chairman of the party, Moses Iduh, assured that the re-election of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for second term is a done deal.
Iduh gave the assurance in an interview shortly after the campaign organization concluded its statewide rally with the Governor’s local government area, Ika North East local government area.
He noted that the party rounded the statewide campaign with the two Local Government Areas as contained in the party’s campaign itinerary, (Ika South and in Ika nation, Ika South and Ika North East), adding that today’s campaign rally was the mother of all rallies as the turnout of party faithful and supporters were unprecedented.
The Delta North chairman disclosed that the overwhelming turnout of supporters in yesterday’s rally and those of other local government areas visited sealed the re-election of Governor Okowa, saying that the party is only already in victory mode.
He called on all Deltans to come out enmass on February 16 and March 2, 2019, to demonstrate the massive support they have given to the party and the Governor at the statewide rallies by voting for all the candidates of the party.
While insisting on the need for Deltans to collect their Permanent Voter Cards to enable them vote massively for Governor Okowa and all their party’s candidates, Iduh said that the party is counting on the Deltans to reciprocate the good works of the Governor by ensuring they vote for him and all other candidates of the PDP.
Continuing, he revealed that many professional bodies, associations, organizations, religious bodies, traditional institutions, youth and women organizations among others have pledged their supports to their re-election of Governor Okowa and added that all the supports received so far have made the party’s chance of victory at the polls brighter and urged them to put the promises into action be coming out enmass to vote on election days.
He assured Deltans that as they keep faith with the party, brighter and better future await the State and her citizens. “Okowa is a man of his word. He has assured that he will never fail Deltans for their belief, trust and their numerous supports. Whatever developments we have witnessed in this first term would a tip of the ice berg from what the State will witness in his second tenure as governor”, he insisted.
Iduh urged Deltans never to waste their vote for party that made numerous promises and failed to fulfill any claiming that promises were made in error.
