Delta 2019: Strong Niger Delta activist endorses Governor Okowa for second term
A Niger Delta activist and a House of Assembly hopeful for Warri south-west constituency, Comrade Sheriff Mulade, has endorsed the Delta state Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for second term in office.
The Warri South-West House of Assembly aspirant, who is also an environmentalist, called on all Deltans to give maximum support and cooperation to Governor Okowa and his deputy, Barrister Kingsley Otuaro, to enable them complete all on-going projects and bring the desired peace and development to all parts of Delta state.
According to him, the administrations of Chief James Ibori and that of Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan brought development to the riverine communities of the state and specifically commended former Governor Ibori for constructing bridges to Bomadi, Omadino and for helping to build roads across the riverine communities in spite of the acclaimed difficult terrain.
He held out that Governor Okowa led administration has also embarked on massive construction of concrete road projects and other needed infrastructural projects which are physically seen in the riverine communities, hence the call for his re-election next year.
However, he urged Governor Okowa to adopt pro-active measures by commencing construction works on the Omadino-Okerenkoko-Kokodiagbene road, Ogidigben-Ubefan road, Ayakoromo-Burutu and Koko-Oghoye roads so as to connect the people to the upland areas of the state.
He said people in the riverine communities have full confidence in the governor, noting that they are ready to vote him for second term.
