The Igwete of Amai Kingdom in Delta state, His Royal Majesty Eze Paul Solomon Ifeneziuche, has inaugurated the newly constituted council of chiefs into the Igwete- in-council in line with the law of the land.
It was indeed a celebration galore for the entire people, especially chiefs from the various quarters of the kingdom who witnessed the inauguration of their representatives to the Igwete in-council and as well as those who were appointed by their most peaceful and loving monarch.
The monarch had earlier mandated the various ruling houses to select the popular choice of their people and present for inauguration into his cabinet.
The monarch had also expressed satisfaction on the reputable chiefs presented for elevation into high chiefs and inaugurated into his cabinet.
The monarch inaugurated 16 cabinet members (Igwete in-council) into gazetted positions to help in piloting the affairs of the kingdom.
The High Chiefs that were returned are- High Chief B.A. Alonu. He was retained as the Onueze of Amai Kingdom; High Chief John Ishiekwene, he was retained as the Ocheaku of Amai Kingdom; High Chief Osuya Oshilim, he was retained as the Nduosa of Amai Kingdom and High Chief Jessa Osanebi, he ascended the position of the Ikeobodo of Amai Kingdom.
Meanwhile, a prominent chief in the kingdom, High Chief James Odozi emerged the ONOCHIEZE OF AMAI KINGDOM.
In the same vein, Chief Gilbert Ejede was elevated and inaugurated as High Chief Gilbert Ejede, the Odeniosa of Amai Kingdom. Others who were elevated and inagurated are High Chief Paul Aguonye – The Okailolo of Amai Kingdom, High Chief Olise Kuchinum – Ochiagha of Amai Kingdom, High Chief Young Eweke – Aku-Obodo of Amai Kingdom.
High Chief Freeborn Eghewonu – Oka-Amamuife of Amai Kingdom, High Chief Lucky Igwala – Odozhiobodo of Amai Kingdom, High Chief Alex Obuka – Ogbuiji-Aganaba of Amai Kingdom, High Chief Raphael Ozhim – Oka-Omenani of Amai Kingdom, High Chief Humphrey Nwabuzor – Ngbodo of Amai Kingdom, High Chief B.A. Adishi – Ndueze of Amai Kingdom, High Chief Mattew Otobo – Udoka of Amai Kingdom.
The monarch urged them to utilise their new positions in supporting his reign towards fostering peace and development in Amai Kingdom and reminded them that his reign will never be party to community disputes.
While thanking the entire kingdom for their prayers which has kept him going, the monarch commended the youths, the security agencies in the state, the state governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, the LG Council Boss Ogbuefi Chukwudi Dafe, the member representing Ukwuani constituency in Delta State House of Assembly Hon. Alphonsus Ojo and the entire people of Amai Kingdom for the level of peace achieved in the kingdom and its environs.
The inaugurated council while expressing appreciation to the monarch for the confidence the throne has in them to help pilot the affairs of the kingdom, described the monarch as a symbol of peace and unity and urged the entire kingdom to support his peaceful and prosperous reign.
They equally pledged their absolute loyalty and respect to the throne and expressed gladness and conviction that the reign of the monarch will definitely position the kingdom in path of peace, love, development and growth.
