Delta police ban tricycle operation in Asaba as officers on red alert to impound violators

Following the prevailing security situation in the state, the Delta state police command has stepped up efforts to enforce the state government’s ban on all tricycle operation in Asaba and its environment beyond 10pm.

In a statement made available to journalists by Chuks Orisewezie, on behalf of the command public relations officer, the police said the ban was in its bid to serve the good people of Delta and reduce criminal activities to the barest minimum.

The statement said officers of the command on patrol duties have been given a matching order to arrest and impound any tricycle aka keke napep operator found operating within the streets of Asaba metropolis and its environs after 10pm.

The statement said the state commissioner of police, Adeleke Adeyinka, is soliciting the understanding of all residents in this regards while assuring Deltans and the general public of his commitment to their safety and security at all times.
