Ex-militant leader, Akpodoro, makes statement on appointment of Boss Mustapha, Abba Kyari as SGF, CoS

An ex-militant leader, Eshanekpe Israel, a.k.a Akpodoro, has congratulated the duo of chief of staff to the President, Alhaji Abba Kyari and the secretary to government of the federation, Boss Mustapha , on their re-appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari for his second term.

The congratulatory message that was contained in statement issued and signed by the former warrior, came at the heels of an elaborate meeting of the National Coalition of Niger Delta Ex-Agitators, NCNDE-A in Abuja, over the weekend.

Akpodoro, who is the national president of the NCNDE-A, stated that the re-appointment of Alhaji Kyari by the president was a testimony to his leadership role which he noted stemmed from his humility and loyalty to superior authority in solidarity to the Nigerian state.

The Urhobo -born ex-militant leader noted that with Alhaji Kyari retained in the administration of President Buhari, the Next Level agenda of the All Progressives Congress, APC -led government will be achieved noting that Kyari has been the engine room of the administration and has effectively played his roles in ensuring a stable administration through the president.

He called on the chief of staff to maintain his credibility and integrity which he noted have been thorns in the flesh of the agents of instability in the country, adding that the nation needs more Kyaris in “our national life.”

Akpodoro, who doubles as the national coordinator of Urhobo Youth Forum for Change, UYFC, called on those he described as career detractors to leave Kyari alone noting that efforts to ridicule “an epitome of service to humanity” will always end in futility.

He said commercial protesters in the nation’s capital should go get themselves engaged rather than allowing themselves to be used by disgruntled elements.

He commended the president for deeming it good to reappoint the CoS, adding that it was a good step in the right direction while he called on Nigerians to eschew bitterness and throw their weight behind the current administration for the betterment of the country.

He said that the electioneering activities have come and gone saying it was time to join hands to build on the progress of the first four years of the Buhari administration irrespective of political leanings.
