Ex-militant leader sends strong message to Bayelsans, politicians as APC, Lyon celebrate guber victory

An Ex-militant leader, Comrade Eris Paul, known along the creeks and waterways as Ogunboss, has commended the people of Bayelsa state for their peaceful conduct during the just concluded governorship elections that produced the All Progressive Congress (APC), David Lyon, as winner, saying the emergence is a collective victory for the people of the state.

Ogunboss, who is also a chieftain of the APC from Peremabiri in Southern Ijaw local government area of the state, said the Chief David Lyon’s victory over the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was gained by the resolution and determination of all.

Comrade Ogunboss, in a statement issued in Yenagoa, said though the victory or defeat achieved during the conduct of the poll may hurt one another, ‘it can happen to everyone, intentionally or unintentionally, regrettably or not.’

‘Politics is an act of endless forgiveness, it is a tender compassion which becomes an habit in every true democrat. If we deal with the facts of a bad situation as we find it first half hour in the table, will it put food in your carpets?’

‘Good politicians are independent hearts who tolerate one another by solving extremely difficult problems to develop societies. Our biggest problem as Ijaw people, as Bayelsans originated some seven years ago when Governor Dickson took the mantle of leadership of the state through some diabolical means.’

‘Today, God has used the same magic by electing the small David, that toothless “Lyon”, as complimented by Henry Dickson, Chief David Lyon as governor of Bayelsa state, what else was more important than the large maggots in Dickson’s tongue?’

‘Since we have made the most of what Bayelsa deserves, nothing in the world was worth having or worth giving than forgiveness. I would have been very ashamed to die if had not won some victories for humanity, same way I would be very ashamed to die if I don’t leave an easy name on earth that is worth remembering.

‘No one needs sympathy than a struggling man, because he has too many burdens to become a man, therefore, arrest your angers, that’s the hallmark of a good leader. David Lyon’s victory was gained by the resolution determination of all, no victory in the world has ever been achieved in the absence of problems’.

‘Therefore, this victory is not victory to Chief Timipre Sylva, this victory is not victory to His Excellency Chief David Lyon, this victory is not victory for any political party, this victory is victory for the people of Bayelsa state.’

‘Our problems are our opportunities when the right people come together, we cannot live like tribal elders in Dickson’s government who brought disunity among Ijaw sons & daughters in the past.’

‘Thank You Bayelsa, You’ll be remembered for this uncommon great acts of unity you gave to the governor elect Chief David Lyon.’
