Excited Deeper Life youths defy heavy downpour, storm Asaba city to publicize 2018 success camp meeting

Excited Deeper Life youths in Asaba region in Delta state, on Sunday defied the heavy downpour and trooped into the capital city to publicize the 2018 edition of the National Youth Success camp, an annual event of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, specifically designed to train youths for a great future.

The youths, who gathered from all parts of Asaba, including Okpanam, Okwe and Oduke, suburbs of the state capital, converged at Abraka end of the city, connecting Onitsha through the expressway between Onitsha and Benin city, the Edo state capital.

The mass publicity which actually commenced a few minutes to 5pm, saw the youths trooping into the main Osadebe highway, connecting the popular Nnebisi road, heading to Okpanam.

While the cloud was gathering with the sky getting darker, the youths were unperturbed, believing that under the rainfall or sunshine, the publicity would hold and the Osadebe highway leading to Nnebisi road will experience a massive logjam, holding vehicular movement to a standstill.

And so, it was, as the youths stormed the road, within few minutes, the rains began to pour, but rather than the youths retreating and abandoning the publicity, the intensity of the rain added more energy to the vigorous publicity as the youths got drenched but continued marching through the Osadebe highway and entered Nnebisi road.

As the rain continued, the youth leaders wanted the publicity to close at the Asaba Archade, near the main Ogbeogonogo market, but it was impossible to control the youths as they continued marching not heeding the need to stop due to the intensity of the rain.

They were highly excited while the rain had no impact on them. While a large number of the youths were marching from the Abraka market area, others who could not meet up, were waiting for the train at the Stephen Keshi stadium where they joined and the publicity was eventually brought to a close in front of the federal medical centre.

The 2018 edition of the success camp with the theme: “Soaring to Higher Altitude” and featuring success talks, salvation ministrations, skills acquisition and others, is billed to hold from Tuesday, August 21 to Saturday August 25, 2018.

The annual event, which is usually planned and strategized from the Lagos headquarters of the church, has held for several years where participating youths from both the church and outside, have gained immensely from the teaching of Pastor Williams Kumuyi and other ministers with well equipped youth leaders in the church.

The success camp is aimed at building youths who could stand and defend the gospel and contribute meaningfully to the development of the Nigeria nation, a nation which has plethora of youths, some of whom have lost their bearing and acting the scripts of politicians, while some are getting involved in cult related activities and other criminal tendencies.

The youths are given systematic teachings with biblical and contemporary examples of men and women who have made great breakthroughs in life as role models and people worthy of emulation.

The 2018 edition of the success camp meeting promises great for all youths both in Asaba and other parts of the state and the nation at large.

The venue for the Asaba meeting is the Deeper Life camp ground, Achala Ibusa road where the youths will camp from Tuesday, August 21 to Saturday August 25, 2018.
