In a manner that appears prophetic declaration, wife of the governor of Delta state, Dame Edith Okowa, has said that the incoming year 2020 will be better than this outgoing 2019.
According to her, as 2019 is fading out, all the challenges and troubles that have been in it will fade away with it and as “we enter in the year 2020, things are going to be better for everyone than yhis year 2019.
The governor’s wife who was speaking during the Christmas party her pet project, 05 Initiative organised for children drawn from the 25 local government areas of the state and held at the state government house, said many had passed on with the fading year but “we are still alive.”
She added that in ony situation one finds oneself, one should endeavour to praise God and continue to look up to God for better days ahead.
The governor’s wife, who danced with the children during the party, thanked God for the synergy that is existing between the state house of assembly and the executive.
She added that following the cordial relationship between the executive and the legislature, there is no tribal dentiment in the state.
“We don’t know Ika man or Okpe man, all of us are working together, all of us are working as a team to actualise a better Delta for all.
She said there are people who cannot eat, some can eat but they have no food to eat, just as she advised all Nigerians to stop complaining of anything to God, adding “anything you see, always say thank you Jesus.”
The 2019 children Christmas party was so exciting to the extent that the children danced and they were very excited. It was a day of joy and happiness for all the children who participated.
The singing and dancing reverberated in the government house as different activities were lined up to keep the children happy. The governor’s wife danced with one of the children in a contest to determine the best dancer among the children.
She shook her body tantalizingly and it was a beautiful sight to behold. One of the most exciting activities was the counting from one to ten and from ten to one in a reversed order. Also, the quiz competition was heartwarming. Different gifts were given to the children at the end of the fun-filled celebration.
