Governor Wike reacts to suspension of CJN Onnoghen, read what he said will happen next

Rivers state Governor Nyesom Wike has reacted to the suspension of Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen and the immediate swearing in of Tanko Ibrahim Mohammad as acting CJN.

In a tweet made immediately after the suspension and swearing in, Wike said: “This is an insult on both the rule of law and the entire people of the South.

“We will not accept and will resist this with every legal means possible. Democracy must thrive in Nigeria. We have been relegated to the background for too long.”
