Group, Usen for Okowa, canvasses votes for governor’s second term

Ahead of the March 2, 2019 governorship and House of Assembly elections in the country, Ufuoma Usen for Okowa group has thrown their weight behind the re-election of the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state.

The initiator of the body, Mr Ufuoma Usen, who hails from Idjerhe kingdom in Ethiope West local government area of the state but reside at Canada, who was at the campaign field with Governor Okowa, other PDP members at Owa-Oyibu, the administrative headquarters of Ika North East, Ika south Local government areas respectively appealed to Deltans to support the governor on his second term ambition.

Mr Usen with his mammoth crowd of supporters at the venue while displaying his banner of Usen for Okowa 2019 round the venue, explained that if Okowa can transform the state beyond the expectations of Deltans with the lean resources at his disposal when he assumed power, it means he will do more if re-elected into office in his second term, just as he called on every Deltan to queue behind him and cast their votes for him come March 2, 2019.

He told journalists that since the governor came to power, the problem of youths restiveness has become a thing of the past because many of them have been gainfully engaged in all skill acquisition programmes.

He said since Okowa assumed the mantle of leadership. all roads in the state have assumed new dimension, schools have been reconstructed and renovated while the health sector has also improved significantly, stressing that workers in the state now receive their salaries very promptly.

Mr Usen also remarked that in Idjerhe kingdom where he hails from, all the roads have been reconstructed while new ones are coming up daily , pointing out that what the state has experienced in terms of development has never happened before now, emphatically stating that Okowa must rule his second term before another Urhobo man will come in according to the party,s internal arrangement from the very beginning.
