How I showcased Governor Okowa’s development programmes in New York, Philadelphia – Rex Anighoro

Following the policies and programmes being implemented by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state, Rex Anighoro, an activist and a social crusader, has said that Governor Okowa is the best performing governor among the 36 governors in Nigeria.

Anighoro, Niger Delta Self Determination and Civil Rights Activist, made the submissions during his global showcase of Governor Okowa and his advocacy visit to the United States of America. The facts were obtained by when he returned to Nigeria recently.

According to Anighoro: “While in the United States, I embarked on a global showcase of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as the best governor in Nigeria and Africa as well as being an indisputable champion of good governance, civil society and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

“Two main events I attended in pursuant of my advocacy were the 26th annual convention of the Urhobo Progress Union, America (UPUA) in Philadelphia and the 74th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

“At these events, I showcased Governor Okowa as a worthy global citizen for his immense contributions to opening the civic space and recognizing the uncommon place of the civil society in Nigeria.

“I also advocated that Governor Okowa was building a stronger Delta in tandem with United Nations development goals.”
