Leader of Isoko Coalition for Good Governance (ICGG), Comrade Prince Kpokpogri, has called on leaders in Isoko to throw their weight behind an aspirant from Isoko South for the House of Representatives.
According to him, Isoko North has had a fair share of representing Isoko federal constituency at the green chambers, hence room should be given for the South in view of equity.
Comrade Kpokpogri made the call after a consultative meeting of the group in his residence in Asaba, the Delta state capital.
He said the seat is not the sole reserve of Isoko North, hence all hands must be on deck to follow the cause of equity.
Kpokpogri, however, called on Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) Coordinator for Edo, Delta and Rivers States, Tom Joel Onowakpo to step into the race.
The call, he said, stems from the resolution of the ICGG’s consultative meeting.
He said that Onowakpo’s rich pedigree in both the public and private sectors better position him to represent the people of Isoko at the green chambers.
The anti corruption crusader stated that ICGG will do everything within its powers to ensure that Isoko South Local Government gets to the National Assembly to represent the Isoko Constituency.
