Mulade: Secondus, Esiso, Okowa, please back your words with action and conduct fair primaries

A House of Assembly hopeful for Warri South West constituency, Comrade Sheriff Mulade, has called on the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, and the state leadership of the party, led by Barr. Kingsley Esiso and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to back their words with action and allow the will of the people prevail during the primaries, noting that fair primaries will enable losers to support the winners after the primaries.

While speaking with newsmen, Comrade Mulade stressed that imposing unpopular candidates during the primaries will spell doom for the party in the general elections, stressing that “you can only rig the party primaries for your preferred unpopular candidate or puppet but you can’t rig the general election for him or her, especially now that we are in the opposition”.

“I strong advise the leadership of our great party at the state level and our ” Talk Na Do Governor”, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa to back their words with action which they assured all aspirants during the last stakeholders meeting in Unity Hall at Delta government house that the party will conduct free, fair and credible primary election that will be acceptable to all the aspirants, and that only the will of the people will prevail in the primaries, so let them stand by their words.”

According to him: “It is being rumoured in some quarters that the party intends to sell only few forms in some constituencies to deprive some aspirants from purchasing the form. In a situation whereby you sell forms only to your puppets, then you have thrown unnecessary political crisis to the party, and am very sure such candidates will never win in the general elections.

“So am using this medium to call on our great party leadership at all levels, most especially our party state chairman, Barr. Kingsley Esiso, and our amiable Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa to make forms available to all the aspirants and conduct free, fair and transparent primary election that will be acceptable to all the aspirants.

“Let me use this opportunity to thank my esteemed supporters and the good people of Warri South West for giving me your maximum support and endorsing me as your candidate for quality representation and always standing by me as your choice. Together victory is sure”, he added.

“Let me also assure you that, our amiable Governor Dr Ifeanyi Okowa will not allow imposition despite the political office holders closeness to him or the party’s leadership. We are going to actualize and liberate our people from internal political slavery.

“So I strongly advise the party to make forms available to all the aspirants and conduct free, fair and credible primaries election that should be acceptable to all stakeholders and reflect the will of the people,” he also said.

The House of Assembly aspirant assured Governor Okowa and the leadership of the party that;” if we conduct free, fair and transparent party primary in Warri South West Constituency and I am genuinely defeated, I will  offer myself as the campaign Director General of that person and Governor re-election 2019″
