Grandson of founder of Obiaruku, the administrative headquarters of Ukwuani local government area of Delta state, Ogbueshi Prince James Morka, has said that he and his political group, Prince Morka Vanguard will join hands with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to build a virile and prosperous Delta for generations to come.

Prince Morka, who spoke to journalists at the weekend, said that his group with over 1000 members cutting across the Ndokwa federal constituency, has endorsed presidential candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the 2019 general elections.

Besides endorsing the presidential and guber candidates of the PDP, the group also endorsed all PDP candidates ranging from the senatorial to the House of Representatives and the state house of assembly, saying that Governor Okowa and the PDP have performed creditably well and needed to win the presidency and remain in power in Delta state.

Prince Morka, who joined the league of other Deltans in canvassing for support for the 2015 guber aspiration of Governor Okowa, is throwing his weight again behind the governor, noting that Okowa has the credentials to take Delta to the level and dream of all residents in the state.

“Our support for the PDP is solid. Prince Morka Vanguard is in full support of the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and all PDP candidates across the state. God has endorsed Atiku and Okowa for 2019. Everything APC is doing is part of campaign for PDP. All the challenges in APC will help the PDP to win the elections.

“When I want to work for somebody, I stand behind the person, I don’t betray people. Prince Morka Vanguard is in the vanguard to return Okowa and vote massively for Atiku. After that we are expecting a massive defection from the APC to the PDP across the country,” Ogbueshi Prince Morka said.

Meanwhile, Prince Morka has joined hands with Hope Alive, a political pressure group in Ndokwa East local government area to push the projects and programmes of the PDP to the people in the grassroots.

The body which will be officially inaugurated on November 18, 2018 at Ashaka, has 150 executive members across the 10 wards of the local government area with over 2000 members who are the group’s foot soldiers in the local government.

In a meeting at Ashaka, leader of Hope Alive, Chief Fidelix Ogude, said Hope Alive is working at the grassroot to ensure all PDP candidates secure their victory from the presidency to the house of assembly, insisting that it is only the PDP that can deliver the nation from its present calamities.

In a congratulatory message, General Secretary of Prince Morka Vanguard, Engr. Emma Chiedozie, said the smooth emergence of Atiku and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa without crisis and some of the presidential aspirants not defecting or challenging the results in court was a good omen signaling a bright future for the party in the coming elections.

Specifically, Chiedozie commended Governor Okowa for piloting the national convention which produced Atiku as the party’s flag bearer.

He said Okowa has left good foot prints behind the sand of time, adding that Okowa’s government has been making monumental progress in all its ventures.

The group which drew over 1000 of its members to support the emergence of Okowa in the 2015 elections, has pledged to pursue the cause of the governor and all PDP candidates in the general elections.

It said the foreign partners of Prince Morka Vanguard, who submitted applications to help build work class hospital in the state are still very much interested in building the hospital and other projects to boost the aesthetic appearance and economy of the state.

Engr. Chiedozie said the grand patron of Prince Morka Vanguard, Prince James Morka, is committed to channeling his group to ensure the victory of Governor Okowa in the 2019 general elections.
