Aide to Governor of Delta state, Ossai Ovie Success, who recently attended West Africa Youths Conference at Abidjan, Cote D Ivoire, has called on African Union and European Union leaders to investigate alleged killings of migrants and human trafficking going on in Libya.
The Governor aide described the alleged killings of migrants and human trafficking going on in Libya as unholy and inhuman, noting that there is no justifiable reason for that action if found to be true.
“I am baffled with the recent news of slave trade on-going in Libya, we must not accept it, it’s unholy and inhuman .
“Enough is enough, the African Union, European Union and other world leaders must stand up to defend humanity.
“A strong message must be sent to Libya regarding the alleged killings of migrants and human trafficking
“I am of the opinion that one of the discussion should be based on migrants maltreated .
“For God sake, we are humans and should be respected irrespective of background or country .
“The AU, EU should investigate the alleged slave trade reports in order to apprehend and bring those responsible to justice ,” he said.
