Olorogun Gbagi celebrates life of elder statesman with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, family, others

Olorogun (Barr.) Kenneth Gbagi, on Friday, joined Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, the executive governor of Delta state, other dignitaries from all over the nation, and the Edevbie family, to celebrate the life of the late Engr. James Okpako Rangers Edevbie, who lived from 1926 – 2019.

Engr. James Okpako Rangers Edevbie was the father of the Chief of Staff to the Delta state government, Olorogun David Edevbie. Until his passing away, Engr. Edevbie was renowned for his excellent service and noteworthy contributions to the construction of various international and national landmark projects in various roles as Design Engineer, Civil Engineer, and Chief Engineer to a number of British and Lagos firms, and as a Principal Consultant at his own firm.

The funeral service held at the All Saints Cathedral, Ughelli and saw the attendance of political icons from all corners of the country who came to pay their respects to the late elder statesman, in recognition of his notable contributions to humanity.

In attendance with Olorogun Gbagi and the governor of Delta State, were the governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki; deputy governor of Delta State, Deacon Kingsley Otuaro; former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori; former deputy governors of Delta state, Chief Benjamin Elue and Prof. Amos Utuama, former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki; former Chief of Defense Staff, General Alexander Ogomudia; Senators Godswill Akpabio and Emmanuel Agwarhiavwodo; and so many others, too numerous to mention.
