A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Chief Sunny Onuesoke, has supported the statement credited to Senator Shehu Sani, representing Kaduna Central, over President Muhammadu Buhari’s actions towards alleged Fulani herdsmen killing of Benue farmers.
Shehu Sani had lambasted Buhari for not visiting Benue state where no fewer than 73 Benue indigenes were killed by Fulani herdsmen.
He equally faulted Benue leaders for visiting the President at Aso Rock after the killings.
Onuesoke, who spoke to journalists in Makurdi, Benue state, backed Shehu Sani’s attack on Buhari for not visiting Benue state to condole with those who lost their loved ones in the massacre.
His words: ‘’Islam teaches us to speak the truth no matter what. I believe Shehu Sani was 100 percent correct. Senator Sani you are on point, you are a real statesman, well cultured and detribalize Nigerian.
“As the president, he should have visited Benue state to see the level of damages and discuss possible solutions.”
