PDP chieftain to Osibanjo: Sack minister of internal affairs, service chiefs as sacked DSS boss groans in detention

Chief Sunny Onuesoke, chieftain of the Peoples Pemocratic Party (PDP) in Delta state, has said that the invasion of the national assembly premises by the masked DSS officials is a coup that coouldn’t succeed.

Following the arrest and detention of the DSS boss, Lawal Daura, over the invasion, he said he should be tried in a special tribunal or court of competent jurisdiction.

He said Daura will confess other accomplices towards the  failed coup at the national assembly and save Nigeria from continuous embarrassment from security operatives.

“You will recalled that my friend Timi Frank made the coup that happened today open to the public since yesterday (Monday) about an attempt by DSS, Oshiomhole, Akpabio, Ameachi, planning to invade the NASS today.

“So, it was a couple and all those involved should be arrested immediately. With the DSS putting on masked faces, it shows it was a coup that failed.

“In the military parlance, any masked police or security personnel are seen as people on a mission to kill or give witness to a hardened criminal.

“Putting on masked security personnel in a parliamentary building globally is a crime against the immunity of NASS.

“It is obvious now to Nigerians and the world in general that APC has failed our country.”

Onuesoke, however, said the sack of the DSS boss is belated noting that Daura has caused a lot of damage since he was appointed in 2015.

He said: “Daura has succeeded in destroying the fibres and trust of the Nigeria security agencies. He has  committed grievous attrocities since his resumption as the DSS boss.

“He should be tried for all the major security embarassements he has caused the image of Nigeria. I therefore call on the vice president to immediately commence the automatic sack of all service chiefs including the minister of internal affairs.

“The arrest of the sacked DSS boss will reveal a lot secrets that is going on within the security apparatus for the past three years the APC has been in power in Nigeria.

“All these security lapses are as a result of incompetent appointments of round pegs in square holes. I hereby call on the national executive council currently headed by Osibanjo to desolve all heads of security outfits in the country now.”
