PDP primaries: Don’t trade credible candidates for temporary relief, assembly aspirant tells delegates

The most accepted Peoples Democratic Party aspirant for the Delta State House of Assembly, Warri South West Constituency, Comrade Sheriff Mulade, has urged PDP delegates not to trade the future of people deserving development for the sake of temporary money.

Briefing newsmen at Abuja, Comrade Sheriff Mulade said “It is imperative for our great party, PDP to learn from the mistake made during the general election at Osun state by projecting a popular  candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke, to illuminate PDP chances of winning in Osun state. We are about to face more challenging situation in Delta state, but we hope that fair play and credibility will prevail”.

Our source also gathered that, the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Ademola Adeleke, was leading with overwhelming votes against his closest marker, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, of the All progressive Congress, APC. This paved way for PDP to have their confidence restored as they are yet to project a popular candidate for 2019 presidential election.

However, the PDP primary election for the Delta State House of Assembly, Warri-South West is keenly contested by aspirants having diverse interest as some want to be imposed against some who feel that politics must be played with credibility and antecedents to convince the people to get their votes.

The aspirant, Sheriff Mulade, is appealing to the Ijaw and Itsekiri delegates to shelve ethnic politics and financial induced voting, adding that the future and development of the people should shape every voters perception. A popular candidate can win convincingly at the general election as more people are seeing the need to settle for lasting benefit.
