Despite the number of persons who have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta state, chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta, Chief Sunny Onuesoke, has said that Delta is 98.9 percent PDP.
He listed the recognized people in Delta APC to be Olorogun Otega Emerhor, former 2015 governorship candidate of the APC in Delta and the present senator representing Delta central in the national assembly, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.
He underrated other APC bigwigs in the persons of Olorogun Great Ovedje Ogboru; former Delta speaker, Victor Ochei and the newly admitted member, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, former chairman of the PDP in the south south of Nigeria.
He told journalists in Asaba that for the presence of Omo-Agege and Emerhor, he gave two percent to APC in the state, noting that APC has no strength and no structure to win any election as far as Delta state is concerned.
He challenged the All Progressives Congress to produce a single billboard in the state, saying going round the entire Delta state, the APC has nothing to show as par its readiness to win any election in Delta.
For him, PDP is Delta and Delta is PDP, insisting that there is no amount of efforts put in by the APC, it cannot win any election in Delta state.
“We don’t have opposition in Delta, there is no APC in Delta state. You can’t find one billboard of APC in the state. As it is now, APC cannot win any election in Delta state,” Onuesoke said.
On the ongoing consensus candidate in the PDP in preparation for the local government election, Onuesoke said PDP is one big family in Delta state, adding that “We have always worked together to produce an agreeable candidate for the local government election.”
