Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and Niger Delta activists, Comrade Sheriff Mulade, have expressed sadness over the demise of Chief Williams Ibori, the Unugbrogodo of Ogharefe.
The two Sheriffs, one Speaker of the state House of Assembly, another, aspirant to represent Warri South West in the 2019 general elections are short of words when they heard of the death of the Ogharefe chief, describing him a great mobiliser and a man of peace.
In a separate statements on Thursday, July 12, 2018, by Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Dennis Otu, and Mulade, they poured eulogies on the departed chief .
According to the Speaker: “I was short of words when I heard of the sudden death of a notable figure in Urhobo Nation, Chief Williams Ibori, the news of his death actually came to me as a rude shock and very hard to believe that he is no more with us. It is so painful that he left us now that his wealth of experience is most needed.”
Rt. Hon Oborevwori prayed God to grant the entire Ibori family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, adding that; “I also pray God to grant the soul of Chief Williams Ibori who was a rally point, a great Mobilizer, man of peace and lived a fulfilled and exemplary life eternal rest in His bossom until we meet to part no more.
On the other hand, Mulade, who is gunning to represent Warri south west in the state house of assembly, described the death of Ibori as a colossal loss to his family, political associates and to all Deltans.
According to him: “Late Chief William Ibori an elder brother to Delta State former Governor Chief James Ibori, was astute politician, a democrat to the core and a man of integrity who supported his friends and helped to attract development to Oghara Kingdom and Delta State”. He stated.
Comrade Mulade sympathised with the family of Chief James Ibori the political leader of Delta State, nothing that the death of Chief William Ibori is irreplaceable, he prayed God to grant the family of the former Delta State governor and political associates the grace to bear the irreplaceable loss.
