This final year student couldn’t defend project, shot by security guards during football match

The 400 level student of the Imo state University, Uche Incraese Opara, who graduated November last year from the Department of Library and Information Science could not defend his final project.

He was snatched away by the cold hands of death and has been laid to rest Wednesday March 28 amidst weeping and wailing by family members, friends and students of Imo State University.

The tragic deaths has sent cold shivers down the spine of many, as the outpouring of the grief has spread to other faculties in the university where he had friends.

Uche Increase was buried in Mbaitolu local government area in Imo state. He was loved by all before his untimely death.

Staff and students of the university among others traveled to the community to sympathise with the family of their late colleague who was described as humble, loveable and active in students’ activities.

It will be recalled that the deceased was said to have been shot on the chest by security guards during a football match at the community’s primary school in November last year, the burial was delayed due to the circumstances that surrounded the tragic death.
