The management and staff of Nigeria Radar magazine have commended Ekwulobia Urban Mass Transport Company for emerging as the most outstanding transport company east of the Niger.
This commendation was reached when the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of the magazine, Mr. Tony C. Okwunebe, and some management staff paid the Managing Director of the transport company, Dr Mrs. Obiokoli Ginika, a courtesy visit at her office recently.
In his speech, Mr. Tony Okwunebe told the Managing Director that her transport company is being commended for their conformity to traffic set standards in terms of safety, low accident involvement rate, comfort of passengers, reliability and compliance to traffic rules and regulations.
According to him, Ekwulobia Urban Mass Transit Limited (EUMTL) parades a cream of well trained, experienced and caring drivers with vehicles that stand out among other transport vehicles on its routes with very moderate fares.
“We have decided to appreciate you with the honour as the most outstanding transport company in year 2018, aimed at encouraging you to improve on and maintain your lead in the high standard achieved.
“It is also to encourage other transport companies emulate the set standards by your organization especially as regards innovations and orderliness you brought to bear in the indigenous transportation sector”, he said.
While assuring the MD of the magazine’s readiness to partner with the transport company in terms of media relationship which will in turn spread the good performance of Ekwulobia Urban Mass Transit Company to the very nooks and crannies of Nigeria, the Publisher used the opportunity to advice the drivers to obey traffic rules and regulations, drive with care, ensure that their vehicles are in good conditions daily, drink but don’t drive.
Ekwulobia Urban Mass Transit happens to be the safest transport line locally as attested to by its passengers.
Responding, the Managing Director, Dr Mrs. Obiokoli Ginika, thanked the Publisher and his team for the honour bestowed on the company, saying the company was founded on God’s will.
According to her, the company has been so favoured by God Almighty that it has become the first choice of passengers on their routes.
She gave God all the glory adding that the company would be opening up routes to Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt and Calabar very soon.
Highpoint of the visit was the formal presentation of honour to Dr Mrs. Obiokoli Ginika, MD, Ekwulobia Urban Mass Transit company on behalf of the transport company as the most outstanding transport company in year 2018 while the General Manager, Mr. Christopher Onyegbuna, received the honour as the most customers friendly transport manager in Nigeria.
